Shambala

There is a kingdom described in Buddhist teachings,
hidden beyond circles of snow and silence.

It is not reached by ambition.
It is revealed through readiness.

Shambhala is not a destination.
It is a state of awakened presence.

In this painting, the greens are alive — layered like breath.
The white is ice and protection.
The brown carries the mountains — ancient, grounded, watchful.

I did not paint a landscape.
I entered a threshold.

This work is about the moment strength becomes compassion.
The moment stillness becomes power.
The moment you stop searching outside
and recognize the kingdom within.
